Description:
The Diagnostics Recovery & Transformation Programme is the largest single investment programme in the NHS in terms of capital and revenue combined .
The programme consists of a national team and seven regional teams with further resource devolved to ICS and diagnostic network level and is likely to be one of the most devolved programmes in NHSE.
The National Specialty Adviser is responsible for providing clinical advice to the Diagnostics Recovery & Transformation Programme as well as professional advice and support in the development of strategy and policy relating to the Diagnostics programme.
The post holders will support senior leaders with the provision of clinical advice and leadership through: -
- Clinical advice to drive improvement of ERCP services in England.
- Clinical advice to support the commissioning of ERCP services across England.
- Clinical advice and support to front line units / systems as needed, complementing the work of regional Endoscopy Clinical Leads in this area.
- Clinical advice on the development and delivery of improved models of ERCP service delivery.
- Clinical advice on the achievement of a sustainable ERCP workforce.
- Ensuring benefits to population health and addressing health inequalities.
- Securing buy-in and removing barriers to project success, including working with trusts and relevant national bodies.
- Ensuring the ERCP workstream remains aligned to the national GI endoscopy transformation project and regional/system wide objectives.
