JOB DESCRIPTION

To reinforce our teams, we are looking for a SQL Server Architect/DBA with a deep understanding of Oracle RDBMS speaking English.
The candidate’s main focus is MS SQL Server and may occasionally work with the Oracle RDBMS database platform. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing, implementing, and maintaining SQL Server databases. This role requires not only technical expertise but also the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative database solutions that meet the organization’s needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Support SQL server applications
  • Supporting SQL Server components, including SSIS and SSRS
  • Design, implement, and maintain SQL Server databases, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) processes.
  • Design and implement migration to Amazon RDS for Microsoft SQL Server
  • Develop and enforce database standards and best practices to ensure consistency across environments.
  • Collaborate with software developers and system administrators to optimize database schema, queries, and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, including performance bottlenecks, connectivity problems, and data integrity issues.
  • Perform database migrations, upgrades, and patches as needed, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum data integrity.
  • Design, implement and maintain database backup and recovery strategies to safeguard against data loss and minimize downtime in the event of system failures.
  • Monitor database performance and resource utilization, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues before they impact users.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior members of the team.
