DESCRIPTION:
To effectively maintain the physical mechanical school plant in a condition of operating excellence that will ensure the full educational use of these facilities at all times.
To assume primary responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of all HVAC equipment and building automation which the Board places under this jurisdiction of care and maintenance
To assist the Board’s HVAC & mechanical staff as required.
To perform other related duties as assigned by the Manager – Technical & Maintenance Services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess a current Gas Technician level 1 Certificate
Must have experience with commercial boiler service and maintenance an asset
Licensed electrician an asset
Experience on Patterson Kelly boilers an asset
Experience with Automation systems as asset
Must be capable of working with minimum supervision.
Must possess a current Class G Ontario Drivers License and clear driving record.
Good physical condition and must be physically capable of assuming the duties of the position from the date of appointment.
