Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
EFW Radiology is seeking a Casual Nuclear Medicine Technologist!
Reporting to the Nuclear Medicine, Bone Mineral Density, MRI & CT Supervisor, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for performing nuclear medicine and bone mineral density procedures in an efficient and effective manner while providing exceptional patient care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs nuclear medicine and bone mineral density procedures in accordance with all established protocols and safety requirements;
- Compiles and verifies patient histories and relevant information prior to beginning procedures;
- Adheres to all EFW Radiation Protection Policies and Procedures and incorporates the ALARA principle;
- Assesses and evaluates nuclear medicine and bone density images to aid in diagnoses;
- Communicates in a professional manner to patients, educating them on examination requirements and promoting the principles of good health and radiation protection;
- Ensures all necessary documentation is accurately completed;
- Collaborates with Radiologists on scans when required;
- Demonstrates EFW values of Compassion, Trust, and Meaning in the workplace;
- Adheres to all privacy and confidentiality policies and procedures as they relate to EFW, our patients and our employees;
- Undertakes other related duties as assigned.
