Description:

You must have been in the UK for 12 months prior to applying for this post and be able to provide a 6 year address history to be able to complete the prison clearance.
The successful applicant will be based within the Healthcare Team at HMP Garth. We provide care to the men who are resident in HMP Garth, in conjunction with the wider multidisciplinary team. The role is very varied and interesting, and although challenging at time, offers the successful applicant opportunities to develop a wide range of clinical skills and knowledge.

The role of the Nursing Associate is to work with the multi professional team and the Registered Nurses to assess, plan, organise and deliver clinical care in line with the service pathways and as agreed with supervising clinician(s).
The Nursing Associate has a breadth of knowledge across the lifespan, providing holistic and person centred care and support for people of all ages and in a variety of settings. The Nursing Associate role is the bridge between Health Care Support Workers and Registered Nurses they will work independently under the leadership of registered nurses, working within all aspects of the clinical process.
Nursing Associates are equipped with the knowledge, understanding, skills, values and behaviours relevant to employment; will work to the current a nationally recognised Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code of Conduct and must meet the NMC standards of proficiency, high quality, cost effective, professional and clinical governance evidence based practice.
Nursing Associates will engage in Continuing Professional Development as per NMC Revalidation requirements and processes. They will also engage in GMMH appraisal processes and work to support service improvement and developments linked to Trust objectives.
