Description:

The Trust is offering a £3000 (pro rata) recruitment incentive to registered nurses new to the trust for nursing roles at Bishops Castle Community Hospital. This incentive is subject to meeting eligibility criteria and terms and conditions. For more information please contact the recruitment team.
Bishops Castle Community Hospital has a 16-bedded ward which offers a modern, light airy and well-equipped amenity, that supports patients for rehabilitation and essential end of life care in an Award-winning Kings Fund suite. The site has ample free parking, and the hospital is passionately supported by the local community.
Bishops Castle is a unique market town in Southwest Shropshire surrounded by an area of outstanding beauty, where you will be spoilt with spectacular views and local walks.
We are looking for experienced Nurses with evidence of professional development, excellent communication and organisational skills. You will be working within a busy ward environment with the opportunity to further develop your skills and enhance your knowledge.
We recognise that work life balance is important for our colleagues and so we invite requests from applications around less than full time/flexible working.
To contribute to the establishment of an ethos of modern, customer orientated services and translate that into a culture of effective patient/user centred delivery meeting the individual
needs of patients and their carer’s.
To ensure that care provided is effective through careful assessment of patients’ condition and circumstances, appropriate planning and delivery of care and regular evaluation of achievement of care objectives, escalating patient care concerns, and working under the leadership of registered nurses at all times.
To act as a role model to colleagues, always seeking to maintain the highest standards of professionalism.
Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust provides community-based health services for adults and children in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, and some services in surrounding areas too. These range from district nursing, health visiting and running four community hospitals through to providing very specialist community care through talented and dedicated staff.
Patients, carers and the public play a vital role in helping us to develop and improve our services and we are constantly looking for ways to work with local communities, patients and the public to innovate and improve. Have a look at the Have Your Say section of our website to find out how you can feed back your experiences and help us to continually improve.
Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust is an exciting place to work. It offers a wide range of employment opportunities for many people.
Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust positively encourages applications from all areas of the community, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation or religious beliefs.
