We are seeking a skilled Operating Theatre Nurse to join our surgical team in Singapore. The successful candidate will assist the specialist surgeon’s team during procedures, ensuring the smooth operation of the operating theatre.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification with current registration and licensure as a Nurse in Singapore.
- Minimum of 2 years of operating theatre experience, preferably in general surgery or laparoscopic procedures.
- Proficiency in surgical assisting, sterile techniques, and patient care protocols.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety and infection control.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
- Professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certification or training in perioperative nursing or surgical assisting.
- Familiarity with specialized surgical specialties and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile and safe environment.
- Prepare the operating theatre, equipment, and supplies before each procedure.
- Monitor patient vital signs and assist with patient positioning, prepping, and draping.
- Handle surgical instruments and equipment with precision and care.
- Collaborate with other members of the surgical team to ensure seamless coordination.
- Assist in transferring patients to postoperative care units and provide postoperative care.
- Maintain accurate records of procedures and patient care activities.
- Adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and regulatory standards.
