ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Bankstown Hospital is seeking a flexible, adaptable and driven Nurse Practitioner or Transitional Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team in the Emergency Department.
We are seeking a champion of change, a person of influence, and someone who is passionate and dedicated to their profession and Emergency Department (ED). The ED team are in a period of growth and change in their service and is looking for someone who will advocate for the NP field.
This role is your chance to make true and lasting changes in ED within SWSLHD and work with a dedicated team to redesign clinical services. You will be flexible, adaptable and be ready for a challenge that will drive your career as well as the quality of patient care provided. This is your opportunity to work autonomously and use your empathy and enthusiasm to build the team.
A Transitional Nurse Practitioner works in accordance with supervision and clinical oversight (including prescribing, diagnostics and referrals) for the care they provide.
You will be working as part of a highly skilled, highly supportive team who embrace innovation, encourage new ideas and are happy to challenge the norm. The team is modern, professional and driven by their growth and desire to make lasting changes in ED services.
You will be a collaborator – the team thrives on working together to come up with a variety of strategies to improve the service and are keen to utilise the diverse skills and knowledge of a dedicated NP.
