Nurse-Registered - Per Diem 0-24/hour work week (Contract)

The Registered Nurse - Per Diem 0-24/hour work week (Contract) operates out of Windsor Assembly Plant’s First Aid stations and Occupational Health Clinic to treat occupational illnesses and injuries. He/she assesses patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions, while working in collaboration with plant physicians, security, and operations to provide effective service to employees in a variety of situations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS :

Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing
Legally eligible to work in Ontario as a Registered Nurse
Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, WSIB legislation, and Human Rights Legislation
Proficiency in Word, Excel, Electronic Medical Records
Current First Aid, CPR and AED Certification for Healthcare Professionals
Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all areas of responsibility
Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a high level of tact and diplomacy
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

Implementing and maintaining various programs and services that support the health and wellness of FCA employees
Administering treatments according to established policies and protocols
Assessing an employee’s physical fitness for returning to work from absence due to illness/injury
Providing emergency treatment when such situations arise
Maintaining impeccable records and complete confidentiality with respect to patient information
Immunize patients for select conditions (e.g. influenza) when such vaccines are offered
Conducting employee health tests, including but not limited to physical exams, hearing tests, vision screening, and pulmonary function tests
Performing other duties as assigned
Must be available for shift work
