NURSE AT CROFT MEADOW - £21.50 PER HOUR

Shaw healthcare is looking for a Nurse to join the team in Croft Meadow.
Croft Meadow is nestled in Steyning against the inspiring landscape of the South Downs, and is known as one of the most picturesque towns in West Sussex. Croft Meadow provides nursing, dementia, and residential care for long term and respite stay. There are 60 ensuite bedrooms over 3 floors, set out in a spacious and light environment.
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Care Home Nurse to join our team in providing high-quality care to our elderly service users with conditions such as Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Parkinson’s or other clinical diagnoses. The successful candidate will work closely with our team of care professionals to ensure that our service users receive the best possible care.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • NMC registered nurse
  • Experience working in elderly care, including caring for patients with Alzheimer’s and other dementia-related conditions
  • Knowledge of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to work independently and use own initiative
  • Commitment to continuing professional development

Responsibilities:

  • Assessing patients’ health and care needs and developing care plans
  • Administering medication and monitoring services users response
  • Providing nursing care, including wound care and palliative care
  • Liaising with other healthcare professionals to coordinate personalised care
  • Supporting service users with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Providing emotional support to service users and their families
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
  • Working within the Care Quality Commission (CQC) guidelines to ensure high standards of care
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures
  • Participating in the induction and ongoing training of new staff members
