Moyne Health Services has an exciting opportunity for a qualified Registered Nurse with management experience to join our Residential Aged Care team on a full time basis.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor of Nursing

Key Selection Criteria (Essential):

• Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
• Well developed understanding and application of the Aged Care Quality Standards, Charter of Aged Care Rights, Aged Care Act 1997, NDIS Code of COnduct, NDIS Practice Standards and the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013.
• Demonstrated strong values and an inclusive leadership style
• Ability to promote, build and lead a positive workplace culture
• Highly developed time management skills and a demonstrated ability to effectively plan, prioritise and manage commitments
• Understanding/experience of quality systems and continuous improvement needs
• Experience with implementing change management
• Robust negotiation and conflict management skills
• Sound understanding of the Australisn National Aged Care Classification funding model (AN-ACC)

Moyne Health Services is a public, not for profit, integrated healthcare service that helps meet community healthcare needs in Port Fairy and surrounding districts in the Moyne Shire.
Employing more than 200 people, MHS operates a 12 bed acute hospital, 2 Aged Care Residences with a total of 82 beds, primary and community care services, social support group programs and Allied Health Services.

Full time, Monday to Friday with monthly accrued days off.
The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) – Residential Aged Care Services, is a member of the Care Services Leadership team; responsible for operational management of the daily activity of the clinical area, bed utilisation, budget, facilities, equipment, resources, staff support, growth, training and performance management as required.
The NUM plays a pivotal role working with the General Manger Care Services to deliver operational elements of Moyne Health Service, service plan.
The NUM will lead a team of nursing and ancillary staff to work to their full scope of practice, working as part of a broader multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality, resident focused care aligned with the requirements of the Aged Care Quality Standards, delivering best care, every person, every time.
