The Medical Ward G2 at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Nurse Unit Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity
The Nurse Unit Manager is a senior level clinician accountable at an advanced level for the coordination of clinical practice and the provision of human, financial and material resources in accordance with organisational goals, ensuring a cost-effective nursing service focused on providing exceptional, evidence-based patient care within the Medical Ward G2.
The Nurse Unit Manager provides leadership and direction to other nursing staff and is responsible for implementing plans related to safe, consumer focused clinical care, professional development of staff and financial accountability.
About the Team
The Medical Ward G2 is a 24-bed adult medical unit providing multi-disciplinary assessment, management and care of General Medicine patients. General medicine. The Nurse Unit Manager works collaboratively with the Clinical Nurse Consultant, Nurse Educator and wider health care team, supporting the clinical unit in the provision of safe, quality health care through exemplary clinical nursing standards of practice.
