Description:
1.0 To ensure the requirements of Ofsted statuary framework, other regulatory bodies and Trustwide policies are met at all times. 2.0 To adhere to and actively assist in the development of all nursery policy documents bringing to the attention of the Manager any ineffective and inappropriate practice. 3.0 Hold a high regard for the delivery of quality, flexible childcare ensuring that the nursery provides a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children and parents, promoting positive play experiences at all times. Promote the inclusion of all children and their families ensuring childrens rights, welfare, development and protection are promoted at all times.
4.0 To oversee the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage through effective In the Moment planning. Oversee the plans and delivery for each individual child. 5.0 Ensure that staff are aware of and carry out appropriate roles and responsibilities, following departmental and Trust policies and procedures. To actively promote and be a role model of good working practice and mentor staff.
Support staff and students ensuring that they are encouraged to reach their full potential. Undertake staff supervision for team members and actively promote self evaluation and reflective practice. 6.0 To assist management in stock control and hold a high regard for the nursery budget status. 7.0 To actively promote equality and diversity both in relation to the childcare provision generally and in the nursery ensuring that a culturally sensitive environment is maintained and promote an inclusive environment at all times.
8.0 To attend meetings and training events, within the Trust or our local community that are relevant to providing good practice and enabling the nursery to keep up to date with new incentives and directions in childcare and cascade this information. 9.0 To be responsible for the opening, closing and security of the nursery on a daily basis. Take responsibility for all aspects of the nursery in the absence of the Manager and Deputy including Health, Safety and child protection both indoors and outdoors. Considerable flexibility is required to meet the changing needs of the children, nursery and Trust.
10.0 To hold a high regard for parental wishes to meet the individual needs of each child and family, working within nursery policies. Actively engage with parents and form good relationships to involve them in the EYFS and their childs development and learning
