Nursery Nurse
Westwood Nursery at the University of Bath are seeking to appoint dedicated, hard-working and creative Nursery Nurses to join our team on a part-time basis.
Graded ’Outstanding’ by Ofsted, Westwood Nursery provides 48 places for children aged 6 months to 5 years.
We currently have two vacancies:
0.6 fte (3 days per week, Mon, Tues, Weds) - fixed-term position to cover parental leave until June 2025
0.8 fte (4 days per week, Mon, Tues, Weds, Fri) - permanent position

You will play a key role in assisting the Room Leader and team in providing high quality childcare and education appropriate to the age and stage of development of the children. You will work to maintain a safe, secure and caring environment.
You will be required to complete tasks line with the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage. A core responsibility is planning and providing safe, appropriate, child-led and adult initiated experiences, activities and play opportunities indoor, outdoor and in out-of-setting contexts, which enable children to develop and learn.
You will also maintain children’s records and carry out assessments, ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to and implemented in the Nursery. Importantly, you will support the Room Leader acting as a role model in supervising and monitoring Nursery Assistants, casual workers, students and volunteers.
