Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen on ward 15 North Tyneside General Hospital. We require Nursing Assistants to join our team and have opportunities for full and part time working.
The successful candidate should have a commitment to ensuring safe and high-quality care is delivered to our patients. A wide range of clinical experience will be gained on this ward, with scope for staff development. You should be committed to work effectively as part of a multi-professional team and have excellent communication skills.
You will be expected to work as part of our dynamic nursing team delivering all aspects of care to patients. Previous experience in a similar setting is desirable, but not essential. The post will be fully rotational day and night duty and covers seven days a week.
If you have an interest in caring for patients and a commitment to providing high quality nursing care, we would like to hear from you.
The role includes provision of personal care, assistance with activities of daily living, monitoring and recording patient observations amongst other nursing duties. Experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous, however, there are many opportunities for training and development for the individual who can demonstrate qualities in line with the trust values in providing safe high quality compassionate care.
We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, covering one of the largest geographical areas of any NHS trust in the country. Leading in innovation and quality – opening a state of the art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. Do you want to work in one of the best performing NHS organisations in England? Work in an organisation that supports its staff and focuses on staff experience as much as it does the experience of its patients? You can live and breathe in an area that has the cleanest air, cost effective living, great nightlife, some of the best schools with a wealth of history available on your doorstep. Sound too good to be true? Well it isn’t, this is what you get when you work for Northumbria Healthcare, this is the Northumbria Way! Please read ‘applicant guidance notes’ before submitting your application
To assist the qualified nursing staff in the delivery of high quality direct and indirect patient care
To provide assistance and support to patients, carers and the multi-disciplinary team
To maintain high clinical standards
To help maintain a clean and safe ward environment
Please note, that to support the implementation of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) (Amendment) (Coronavirus) Regulations 2021 (‘the Regulations’) which require registered persons of all Care Quality Commission (CQC) registered care homes to have been fully vaccinated (subject to certain exemptions), if this post requires full vaccinations, we will request confirmation as part of the pre-employment checking process
