We are conveniently located on the West Bank of the Mississippi River near downtown Minneapolis.

  • 23 Beds.
  • Primarily orthopaedics with med/surg overflow.
  • Total joint replacements and revisions, specialized orthopaedic procedures such as limb lengthening, orthopedic tumor removals, amputations.
  • Care delivery team: RN & NST on all shifts.

This position works 48 hours in a 2 week pay period on the rotating day/evening shift, 8 hour shifts, every other weekend. This position is eligible for benefits.
Responsibilities/Job Description:
The Nursing Station Technician is a hybrid position consisting of both Nursing Assistant and Health Unit Coordinator roles to deliver direct patient care and administrative duties.

In this role, you will work under the direct supervision of a professional nurse to demonstrate excellent customer service, teamwork and communication skills with patients, families, and the healthcare team on a fasted paced unit. Other job duties include:

  • Patient care such as personal hygiene, vitals, daily activities, repositioning, transporting, and feeding
  • Maintaining unit desk area functions such as answering phones, processing admissions, discharging and transferring forms, transcribing orders, assembling patient charts and ordering tests
  • Setting up and maintaining patient rooms
  • Ordering and stocking of supplies
