We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Office Manager to join the company in Wagga Wagga, NSW, Australia. This role provides operational support to the Nuveen Natural Capital Australian Farmland business, WGA, on a broad range of general management and administrative services/activities. This includes providing treasury and accounting functions to WGA and co-ordinating and providing support for other compliance matters and global coordination for WGA (i.e. payroll execution coordination with service provider and external accountant as required) and general team support. This position also supports the investment entities in HR and payroll related compliance.

In This Role You Will Have The Opportunity To

  • Financial and administration:
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual local budget. Monitor the budget and prepare actual to budget reports.
  • Coordinate the preparation of the Country by Country reporting requirements.
  • Collate financial information and liaise with and assist the external accountants.
  • Review, approve and pay invoices of the local entity.
  • Safety and Sustainability: Collaborate with the ESG & WHS Coordinator to ensure a safe working environment supported by relevant policies, procedures and resources. Support the WHS Coordinator in the execution of key tasks.
  • Facilities Management & Business Continuity Planning (BCP): Oversee the leases for the WGA offices in Wagga Wagga and Perth and coordinate all negotiations and correspondence with the landlord.
  • HR Support across investment entities: Support HR requirements for staff including, but not limited to, employee handbook, timesheets, and visa related issues
  • General: Maintain Corporate Insurance policies, including office contents, management liability, directors’ and officers’, professional indemnity, corporate travel and cyber risk insurance.
  • Manage one direct report to support business and team activities

The role requires a tertiary qualifications in Business Management, Accounting and/or Administration and high level computer proficiency. A background in agriculture or agribusiness, or a general industry understanding and/or appreciation.
You will exemplify the ability to collaborate within a team and manage resolutions when/if required, ability to build and foster relationships and work confidently with people at all levels. Effective communication skills with the ability to earn trust and credibility will be a key success factor.
