    The Observation Scientist will undertake research in air-sea fluxes and support the Bureau’s continuing activity of providing high quality in-situ ocean and marine observations, covering sea surface temperature, meteorological and air-sea flux observations from ships and a Southern Ocean Flux Mooring.
    The successful candidate will join a small team of oceanographers to maintain the quality, quantity and timeliness of meteorological and sea surface temperature observations from oceans surrounding Australia, used for operational weather and seasonal forecasts, satellite data validation, international climate databases and ocean analyses.
