ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for an Obsolescence Engineer – Asset Integrity Management - Integrated Operations to work within our Business Area Wind, Offshore, Generation.
Generation is the organization that is fully accountable for the Asset performance of Vattenfall’s offshore wind farms. This includes operating the wind farms through optimization of revenues in relation to the power market and maintaining the wind farms in a healthy, safe, sustainable and cost efficient way to ensure best availability and full compliance with requirement.
Working within the Asset Integrity Management Department and Integrated Operation, the Obsolescence Engineer will be a main focal point to drive recommendation of changes between Asset Integrity management, engineering and supply chain.

Business Area Wind is responsible for Vattenfall’s Onshore and Offshore Wind as well as other non-hydro Renewable activities like solar PV and batteries. In addition, we have a clear strategy to develop our solar PV and battery operations further

Responsibilities:

As part of Integrated Operation and fully deployed to support our Asset Integrity Management Team, you will:

  • Be responsible for the obsolete process
  • Be responsible for the management of change that follow the obsolete process
  • Be the focal point in driving obsolete strategy across engineering and supply chain
  • Support on supply chain spare parts strategy based on learnings from obsolete work
  • Support in driving bulletin/notification process into the obsolescence strategy work
  • Work with risk & Investment model as decision tool for obsolete strategy
  • Being a team player
