Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) is seeking a highly motivated Occupational & Environmental Health Analyst for our Readiness Division. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in occupational health, environmental health, public health, industrial hygiene, environmental engineering, or related field;
  • Minimum five years’ experience in bioenvironmental engineering, environmental science and engineering, occupational and environmental health, or industrial hygiene;
  • Experiences working with Federal regulatory agencies (e.g., EPA, OSHA, FDA) and familiarity with Federal regulations that pertain to occupational safety and health;
  • Experiences working with and developing occupational health, environmental health, industrial hygiene policies and procedures;
  • Experiences participating in technical meetings and gatherings with Federal agency partners, Federal regulatory agencies, technical subject matter experts in occupational health, environmental health, radiation safety, laser system safety, hearing conservation, hazard communication, occupational safety;

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • DOD leadership experience
  • AIHA Certified Industrial Hygienist or BCSP Certified Safety Professional
  • Working understanding of Office of Secretary of Defense roles

Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Personnel and Readiness, Force Safety and Occupational Health
  • Contributes to analysis of occupational/environmental health and safety policy and performance
  • Responses to congressional and media inquiries, preparation of congressional testimony, responses to DoD Inspector General and Government Accountability Office findings in areas of occupational health, environmental health, radiation safety, laser system safety, hearing conservation, hazard communication, occupational safety
  • Drafts content for DoD issuances (e.g., Directives, Instructions, Manuals, Memoranda) with technical input in areas of occupational health, environmental health, radiation safety, laser system safety, hearing conservation, hazard communication, occupational safety
  • Provides input and edits to concepts to improve occupational/environmental health and safety capabilities
  • Provides technical analysis of Safety and Occupational/Environmental Health risks, risk management options, and the appropriate DoD policy for DoD Safety and Occupational/Environmental Health risk management activities.
  • Provides DoD technical input to policy.
  • Provides technical analysis and support for the oversight of Safety and Occupational Health Management Systems and execution of DoD Recognition Programs.
  • Supports the development of standardized DoD Safety and Occupational Health professional competencies and training requirements.
