PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE

  • Practicing physician fully licensed in Germany with postgraduate qualifications and experience in Occupational Medicine.
  • Demonstrated leadership proficiency with experience in leading effective teams.
  • Relevant work experience in a multinational organization will be an advantage.
  • Excellent ability to network and build relationships with local health authorities and community health providers.
  • Must be fluent in English and German language.
  • Analytical capabilities.

Responsibilities:

WHAT ROLE YOU WILL PLAY IN OUR TEAM

ExxonMobil Germany is currently seeking a qualified physician for the position of Occupational Health Manager (m/w/d). You will join a global team of skilled and highly motivated occupational health professionals working for a company committed to excellence in health and safety. This is a part time position based at Hannover.
The Occupational Health Manager develops and executes occupational health programs to meet labor & health regulatory requirements, to support the Corporate Health Policy and to protect and promote employees health. The position is based at Hannover and supports ExxonMobil operations at all locations in Germany. The position reports to the Regional Occupational Health Manager and works closely with Business Line management.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Exhibits leadership in safety and health initiatives within the organization.
  • Serves as lead occupational health representative to interface with management, SSHE professionals and others to address health and safety issues.
  • Develops business plans and budget for programs and services.
  • Recruits, selects, trains, and evaluates members of the in-country MOH staff, ensuring that individual training and development opportunities are collaboratively identified and delivered.
  • Delivers and supports the implementation of the Company’s global health practices, common systems and programs.
  • Prepare for and execute emergency medical response, actively participate in country Emergency Support Group when required.
  • Advise and work collaboratively to achieve compliance with labor and health regulations and policies.
  • Develop, implement and execute fitness for work assessments, pre-placement exams, and health surveillance programs.
  • Advise on travel medicine & vaccination requirements.
  • Support the corporate Alcohol & Drug policy including provision of Medical Review Officer activities and case management.
  • Provide clinical management of work related illnesses and injuries.
  • Provide health support to site safety management system including office ergonomics program.
  • Initiate and assist in the rehabilitation programs for employees.
  • Participation in site incident management and investigations.
  • Participate in designing risk assessments as necessary.
