Description:

As part of the Trust’s approach to staff health and wellbeing, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced occupational health nurse advisor (RGN or RMN) t o participate in the development and maintenance of a full Occupational Health and Wellbeing service to the staff of Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
The post-holder will have day to day responsibility for a designated case load and will be expected to provide employees within this group with a comprehensive and confidential OH service, whilst working within his/her level of competency. The ability to recognise the need to refer on to the Senior OH Specialist or OH Physician, is an essential requirement of this post.
Although the Occupational Health department’s base is at St. Marys Hospital in Kettering, the post holder will be expected to work within any NHFT premises across Northamptonshire, therefore the applicant will need to be able to transfer flexibly between workplaces, as necessary, to meet service requirements.
NHFT is an integrated primary care and mental health Trust, providing physical, mental health and specialty services in both hospital settings and out in the community. Because we put the person at the centre of all we do, we focus on delivering care that is as easy to access as possible. This means many of our services can be provided at home, work or in schools. We also provide health services to various prisons and detention centres in Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire.
NHFT promotes a culture of learning to improve the care and safety of our patients and staff, which focuses on people who enable our Trust to be ‘outstanding’ by supporting opportunity, innovation, development and growth.
