Description:
TE WHIWHINGA MAHI | THE OPPORTUNITY
The Occupational Physician contributes to the operational direction for Occupational Health across Te Toka Tumai and provides clinical support and leadership for the Occupational Health team. The role has a key part in our strategic objective of People, patients and whānau at the centre by focusing on keeping our people healthy at work.
Primary purpose of the role is to:
- Ensure provision of an effective and quality service to staff
- Clinical occupational medicine
- Offer advice to relevant regional and national forums
- Provide clinical leadership for the occupational health service
- Line management for occupational medicine, vocational rehabilitation, wellbeing advisor and injury management team

NGA PŪKENGA MOTUHAKE | IMPORTANT SKILLS
- 3+ years working in an OHS role in a healthcare environment
- 5 years experience of occupational medicine
- Relevant Degree or Diploma in Occupational Medicine (FAFOEM or equivalent)
- Medical practitioner with vocational registration from the Medical Council NZ
