Marymead CatholicCare Canberra & Goulburn is looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Allied Health Portfolio (0.8 FTE – 4 days per week) and assist within the Stepping Stones (trauma) program for 0–12-year-olds, while offering support to individuals to improve daily functioning.
The Role
The Occupational Therapist will be part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting children and adults, people with disabilities, mental illness and those accessing aged care services. The key responsibilities will include, providing therapeutic interventions with a trauma-informed lens to children and families. Working towards improving a client’s ability to perform everyday functions that are of value to the individual, parents/caregivers. The Occupational Therapist will support individuals to improve daily functioning, through a rage of interventions and equipment and/or modification recommendations. The Occupational Therapist will develop individualised treatment plans that target identified goals that arise from the assessment process, working in collaboration with the individual, family, other health professionals and stakeholders as required.
