THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our NSW Allied Health team, working in Western Sydney including Blacktown and Smithfield. This is a permanent part time (0.4 -0.6FTE) position with the opportunity to increase in the future.
As a mobile Allied Health clinician, you will be providing care to Australian’s wherever they call home, including community and residential aged care. This is a great opportunity for you to have variety in your caseload which will allow you to utilise your skills and grow as a health professional with the support of our senior clinicians.
In the Community you will support:
- Home Care Package clients: supporting adults and elderly to remain independent at home, through: home assessment, equipment prescription and home modifications.
- Rehab in the home program: focusing on post orthopaedic surgery
- Hospital in the Home program: supporting clients after hospitalisation, including general surgeries
For Residential Aged Care clients you will:
- Complete assessments, including initials, reviews, post hospitalisation and falls.
- Develop, implement, and manage programs
- Design and facilitate group programs
- Complete individual sessions with residents
- Facilitate manual handling
- Prescribe equipment
You are a fully AHPRA registered or Limited Registered (remote level) clinician, ideally with (but not essential) a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a community or Aged Care setting. As a mobile Occupational Therapist, you will need to be comfortable travelling to our clients located in Melbourne North Metro and suburbs and as such provide your own vehicle (kilometre reimbursement provided for this travel).
