The Role
An opportunity has become available for an Occupational Therapist (Mental Health - Orchid Inpatient Unit) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide an efficient and responsive mental health Occupational Therapy service within identified models of care and in accordance with professional, ethical and National Mental Health standards
- Utilise knowledge of Occupational theories and frameworks in understanding the occupational and functional impact of mental illness, to assist consumers, carers and their families
- Undertake routine psychosocial, functional, sensory and cognitive assessments
- Apply professional judgement to facilitate effective clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence across multiple clinical areas
