ABOUT US:

Gladstone Hospital is a 79-bed hospital and offers a range of general and specialist inpatient and outpatient services including emergency, general medicine and surgery, basic orthopaedic, clinical investigation, obstetrics, maternity, gynaecology, high dependency and coronary care, palliative care, neonatal nursery, medical imaging, pathology, and paediatrics.

ABOUT YOU:

Mandatory qualification/s: The successful applicant must hold a tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist.

• Generalist knowledge and skill in the provision of Occupational Therapy clinical services to clients of all ages across the continuum of care that includes inpatients, outpatients, and community clients, seeking guidance as required for complex clinical scenarios.

Total remuneration value of up to $10,716 p.m. is comprised of:

• An hourly rate between $42.40 - $56.89 p.h.
• 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
• 17.5% leave loading

It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against vaccine preventable diseases as listed on the Role Description.

The Occupational Therapist works as a member of the Gladstone and Banana Allied Health Team(s) providing comprehensive, effective, and efficient Occupational Therapy services to stakeholders/customers of CQ Health. Services provided are of a varied caseload complexity, spanning the continuum of care that includes service provision to patients/clients within inpatient, outpatient, and community clinical settings.

• Demonstrate clinical knowledge and skills in the management of a broad caseload across a continuum of care within a multidisciplinary team.
• As experience builds, apply increasing independent clinical judgement to more complex clinical decision making under the clinical practice supervision or professional guidance of a more senior clinician.
