Description:

St. Andrew’s Autism Centre (SAAC) is a non-profit organisation for the education, training, and
care of persons with autism and their families.
SAAC comprises St. Andrew’s Autism School (SAAS) and St. Andrew’s Adult Autism Services
(SAAAS), serving children, youths and adults with autism. SAAAS runs two Day Activity Centres
(DACs) at Siglap and Sengkang, and St. Andrew’s Adult Home (Sengkang), Singapore’s first
residential facility designed and built to meet the needs of adults of autism.
SAAC seeks to enable people with autism to lead dignified and meaningful lives. We invite
interested and qualified persons to join us to meet the physical, social, emotional and spiritual
needs of our students, clients and residents; to provide behavioural support, life skills training,
family support and public education.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Assess therapy needs of students aged 7 years old to 18 years old.
Structure therapy goals which are synchronised with the school curriculum.
Provide evidence-based therapy interventions to support the occupational performance
(self care, school-based learning and recreational engagement) of students.
Provide therapy sessions in combination of 1 -1 and group format.
Sustain/ develop school-wide programs which benefit students in their occupational
performance.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Possess at least a Diploma in Occupational Therapy from an accredited polytechnic or
university.
Full or conditional Allied Health Professions Council (Singapore) registration.
Candidate must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with
various stakeholders such as Teachers, Psychologists and families of students.
Practical experience volunteering or working to support persons with autism spectrum
disorder/ intellectual disability is an asset.
