Description:

Are you looking for new opportunities to develop your interest and experience in eating disorders and be part of a team at the forefront of exciting new developments and making a real difference?
Come join our service - we have a fantastic opportunity for a Band 4 Adult Eating Disorder Service Occupational Therapy Assistant.
If you have a genuine interest in people, eating disorders, occupationally focused interventions and looking to work in a multi disciplinary specialist eating disorder service, this is an ideal role for you.
Lincolnshire Eating Disorders Services are expanding countywide and are seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join us in enhancing community services and improving experiences for service users and their carers.
This is a new post within the service and is a multi faceted role. Applications are invited from highly motivated and creative candidates who will be encouraged to use and develop their skills and knowledge to create opportunities for service users to engage in meaningful activities and support them as part of their journey to recovery.
We are looking for a creative and highly motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant who wants to join a well-established and rapidly expanding adult eating disorder service. The Occupational Therapy team is truly multidisciplinary - currently consisting of a Service Manager, Team Manager/Nurse Specialist; Lead Occupational Therapist, Consultant Psychiatrist, Counselling Psychologist, CBT Practitioners, Nurses, Dietician, Assistant Practitioner/Psychological Interventions Facilitator, Peer Support Worker and supportive Administrative staff.
As a highly valued member of the team, you will work alongside the Occupational Therapist to deliver both individual and group interventions, across the county, working in collaboration with the wider multi-disciplinary team. You will support the Occupational Therapist in facilitating meaningful interventions to service users in the community, aligned to the principles and models of Occupational Therapy. This will cover the areas of self-care, vocational, domestic, leisure, social skills and promote self-management and coping strategies as part of an individual’s intervention plan.
