Description:

As our Offsite Cable Construction Manager, you will be focused on the coordination and delivery of major cable works, with the primary responsibility of overseeing and working with the construction programme managers, Power & infrastructure development managers, Utility providers, and delivery contractors to ensure safe and effective delivery of on-site and off-site HV&LV cable works for NTT GDC EMEA projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for multiple major cable works projects across the NTT GDC EMEA development portfolio, at voltages up to 380KV
  • Support the Senior Principal for Substation Construction in the successful delivery of power infrastructure used to support modern hyperscale data centres
  • Collaborate with NTT GDC Expansion, Design, Construction, Power infrastructure Development, and Legal teams to develop robust planning, and monitor ongoing progress
  • Coordinate project activities and interfaces between utility provider (DNO/TSO) and Substation Contractors
  • Manage project activities and interfaces between Substation contractors and Data Centre contractors
  • Establish and Implement program for monitoring ongoing compliance and project progress
  • Provide timely, accurate and consistent reporting of all major cable works activities across the prescribed projects / programmes
  • Perform regular site inspections to ensure safety and quality standards are being achieved and maintained.
  • Work with the Construction and Scheduling teams to develop benchmarks for installation durations, and schedule forecasting
  • Work with the safety team to ensure any local safety requirements are captured as part of the tender process, and safety standards are maintained throughout the project
  • Be accountable within the Construction team for driving and inputting into the standardized delivery of major projects, including engagement with all relevant stakeholders (internal and external)
