The GardaWorld Vancouver Branch is looking for a full-time Office Administrative Assistant to join our team! The individual will be the first point of contact at the reception counter for everyone attending our office at our branch in Vancouver.
We are looking for qualified applicants for this position who have excellent customer service and administrative skills. The ideal candidate has a welcoming and engaging demeanour who works independently while also thriving in a supportive team environment.

What does an Office Administrative Assistant in Vancouver do?
- Greet all visitors in a professional manner into the office. Direct and/or instruct visitors as required.
- Accept and field all incoming telephone calls and re-direct where required, answer inquiries take messages for all staff as appropriate.
- Maintain internal telephone directories and ensure they are up to date.
- Responsible for uniform management, which includes tasks such as ordering, tracking, sorting and outfitting Security guards.
- Keeping inventory of all uniforms.
- Uniform guards according to the site contracts and enter in the database system.
- Work with HR team to maintain and update employee files and databases as required.
- Responsible for incoming and ongoing mail distribution.
- Responsible for the ordering/purchasing and control of all office stationery products.
- Contribute to team effort by completing other administrative tasks such as assisting in sorting documents for distribution to office staff, photocopying, document maintenance.
- Carry out other tasks as directed from time to time as required by office management team.
- Ensure the entrance and reception area is organized and clean on a daily basis.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications to become an Administrative Assistant in Vancouver
- Previous experience in a fast-paced Receptionist role would be required.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient use of various office-based software including Microsoft Office
- Must be tech savvy and have the ability to process emails and phone calls.
- Excellent problem resolution, interpersonal and time management skills and be dedicated to consistently producing quality work.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs., climb step ladders and be agile around the office when sorting heavy uniforms.
