Description:

GFL Napanee is searching for an organized self-starter to be our new Office Administrator at our Napanee office.
The responsibilities include customer service, billing administration and various office administration tasks.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 to 5 years experience in an industry related field or previous experience in a similar role
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience working in an office setting
  • Comfortable working alone as well as in a team environment
  • Willingness to learn new things
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Prioritizing workloads to complete tasks efficiently
  • Multitasking and organization skills
  • Proficient computer skills and use of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint

Responsibilities:

  • Answering and directing calls in a courteous and professional manner
  • Greeting customers and suppliers in a polite and courteous manner
  • Checking and responding to emails and redirecting them to the required department as appropriate
  • Processing and distributing mail as required
  • Creating work/purchase orders
  • Overseeing the operation and maintenance of office equipment;  Ordering office supplies
  • Creating documents, letters, and spreadsheets;  Filing documents and electronic files
  • Assisting other departments and co-workers as needed
  • Recognizing and completing tasks not directly assigned
  • Performing other administrative office tasks as needed.
  • Assisting Management Team with daily duties.
  • Data entry, uploading and Retrieval from GFL and associated operating systems such as OMS, Filemaker, Workday, Workhub, Geotab, RPRA, etc.
  • Preparation of shipping documents and manifests for waste related pick ups
