Description:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Hold a Diploma of Vocational Studies in a specialty appropriate for the class of employment, a Secondary School Diploma or a diploma or an attestation of studies recognized as equivalent by the competent authority.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be completely bilingual (French and English)
- Must have a receptive and friendly attitude
- Must be able to communicate with staff, students and their parents
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel – Testing required
- Must have knowledge of Google Suite
- Knowledge of GPI
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and initiative
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Able to work autonomously
- Must be able to multi-task
- Accuracy, attention to detail, strong organizational skills are essential
- Must have the ability to meet deadlines, particularly during peak periods
- Must be able to effectively communicate updates and information to other staff members
Responsibilities:
- Perform reception duties, such as answering phone, responding to emails, greeting students/staff/guests
- Must be able to prioritize and delegate traffic in the office.
- Must have the ability and disposition to deal with the public
- Must take accurate messages
- Must manage the entry of visitors and maintain an environment conducive to work at reception
- Must respond to student/staff/general public inquiries by phone, email and in person
- Responsible for accepting deliveries and ensuring they are sent to the appropriate person/department
- Responsible for maintaining accurate and updated student files
- Will attend to students who are ill or require minimal health care
- Entries into GPI must be accurate and timely
- May be asked to work flex hours such as evenings, weekends and summer periods
- Must be able to effectively communicate updates and information to other staff members
- Must maintain and streamline filing system procedures
