SUMMARY

This position performs routine but varied clerical duties in accordance with standard procedures. Clerical duties include, but not limited to: accounts payable/receivable, knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as data entry, filing, answering phones and greeting customers. Strong customer service skills are required. Applies knowledge of department policies and procedures and utilizes a general understanding of other departments’ functions. Maintains records, prepares forms, verifies information, and resolves routine problems, while paying strict attention to detail. Refers questions and problems to higher levels. The Office Coordinator must have the ability to multi-task in this fast environment, work unsupervised and be very self – motivated.

TYPICAL EDUCATION

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • 1+ years related experience and/or training
  • Background in Turf and Horticulture is a plus
  • Good knowledge of computer systems
  • Organizational and communications skills
  • Prior experience in an office setting
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Combination of education, training and/or experience will be considered for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the main point of contact at the retail location for external / internal customers regarding administrative functions and inquiries.
  • Performs general clerical duties as needed such as processing mail, filing, alphabetizing records, and completing forms and reports.
  • Provide superior customer service, connecting concerned customers with sales or operations as appropriate.
  • Answers telephone takes messages or directs calls and places outgoing calls.
  • Take orders, create delivery tickets for Warehouse processing.
  • Processing of AP/AR
  • Operates office equipment such as copiers, printers, personal computers.
  • Operational support for pulling/staging orders in warehouse as needed.
