JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS
Job Summary:
Provides overall coordination of the daily administrative operations of the Community Wellness Department, including the Mobile Health Unit, Diabetic Education, and Nutrition and Fitness services. Provides administrative support to management within the Department.
Education:
Position requires a high school diploma or GED. Additional training or college coursework relating to office administration or customer service, preferred.
Registration/Certification/Licensure:
- Unexpired, unsuspended driver’s license if incumbent will be required to drive as part of their routine job duties.
Experience:
Position requires minimum one year office administration experience—preferably in a healthcare setting.
Other Requirements:
- Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
- Effectively communicates with all patient populations and staff by implementing organization-wide communication techniques as a daily practice.
- Previous experience and demonstrated professionalism in effectively communicating with customers and in promoting a positive service atmosphere.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize concurrent projects, meet deadlines, follow through with deliverables, and produce quality work.
- Ability to effectively network with a variety of human services agencies.
- Ability to function independently with minimal supervision, anticipate administrative needs of the department and programs, serve proactively in coordination of activities, and provide a commitment to the team environment.
- May require the ability to drive as part of routine job duties.
