OFFICE MANAGER & PERSONAL ASSISTANT TO THE MD (STRUCTURED CABLE/DATA) - SOUTH BIRMINGHAM

£28k-£35k (DOE)

Digital Waffle are working along side a leading provider of structured cabling and data solutions in the South Birmingham area, they are seeking a highly motivated and organised Office Manager & Personal Assistant to the MD to join their growing team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in an office management role, with experience supporting senior management a plus.
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced environment with excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of structured cabling and data solutions (a plus).
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Discreet and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities:

  • Office Management:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the office, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Manage office logistics, including ordering and maintaining office supplies, equipment, and furniture.
  • Coordinate with technicians and field staff, ensuring they have the necessary information and resources.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records, including invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.
  • Coordinate with IT support for resolving technical issues and maintain office equipment.
  • Maintain a professional and welcoming office environment.
  • Liaise with clients and vendors, ensuring clear communication and a positive company image.
  • Assist with the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff (as needed).
  • Personal Assistant to the MD:
  • Manage the MD’s calendar, scheduling appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements.
  • Anticipate the MD’s needs and proactively manage their workload.
  • Organize travel itineraries, make hotel and flight reservations, and manage expense reports for the MD.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.
