About the role
We are seeking a values-driven and proactive Office Supervisor to coordinate the execution of the operational and administrative activities of the Corps to enhance outcomes and to support the achievement of The Salvation Army’s Mission.
Reporting to the Corps Officer, this is a permanent full-time position based in Port Macquarie, NSW. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Clerks Award Level 5.

You will successfully

  • Coordinate and oversee Corps operations.
  • Oversee budgets and invoicing (processing of tithes/offerings, purchasing and supplies).
  • Coordinate contract requests & manage vendor accounts, assisting with grants as needed.
  • Oversee facilities & vehicles management.
  • Manage church communication including weekly newsletter and other specialised emails.
  • Create and design themed material in liaison with TSA Branding, Public Relations and Community Fundraising teams as needed for local and national events.
  • Assist Corps Officers and/or Community Worker in the planning and co-ordination of ‘Special Events’.
  • Provide HR and Volunteer support.

You will have

  • Current NSW driver’s licence.
  • A valid NSW Working with Children Check.
  • Proven experience in the provision of high-level secretarial and administrative support activities.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in the use of software application packages including work processing, desktop publishing, spreadsheets, databases, communications and record management.
  • Graphic design experience (highly regarded).
  • IT experience in an office environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Post-secondary qualifications(highly regarded).
  • An understanding of and empathy with the Christian faith, values and ethos of The Salvation Army.
