SALARY: From £42,120
LOCATIONS: Manchester / Birmingham / Edinburgh
HOURS: Full-Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites
About This Opportunity
We’re seeking a confident and capable line manager who role models our Group’s Values & Behaviours for an exciting opportunity to join our team. The AML Support Team provide technical subject matter expertise to assess potential and actual risk within client portfolios in order to maintain Group-wide policy requirements and minimum standards in accordance with agreed risk.
You’ll be joining the team during a time of significant focus and change, leading to multiple opportunities to be involved in Change, Projects and Simplification of process.
As the OKYC Team Manager, you’ll gain exposure to a range of key stakeholders and will be supporting the delivery of financial crime activities relating to on-going due diligence for Commercial Banking clients.
You’ll be responsible for managing a team of c.20 Analysts, ensuring due diligence is conducted correctly on customers in line with regulatory standards and commitments to the FCA.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Be responsible for leading and inspiring your team of analysts.
  • We’re committed to the development of our colleagues and you’ll play a key role in the coaching and development of your team
  • Line Management of colleagues aligning with HR policy and procedures to ensure that standards of performance and behaviour are upheld within your team
  • Ensure colleagues are appropriately trained, deployed and motivated so that their individual and collective performance meets the current and future needs of the business, actively mentoring and developing all reports
  • Responsible for explaining and supporting with due diligence requirements to both internal and external clients
  • Act as a liaison point for managing relationships within Commercial Banking, including collaborative working with AML partners and Relationship Teams
  • Inspire change and process improvements

What You’ll Need

  • People Management and Leadership Experience - effectively coaching and performance managing other colleagues
  • Solid technical knowledge of Anti-Bribery, AML and Sanctions and good knowledge of other financial crime areas
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills (Oral and Written)
  • Stakeholder Management – Able to influence others to achieve objectives collaboratively
  • Risk and Control experience
  • Planning & Delivery - Experience developing and delivering on plans
