Skills and qualifications:

• Minimum M.sc. engineering degree or similar in scientific subjects.

A drilling engineer will be working in close collaboration with the asset, subsurface, projects, contractors and the drilling superintendents.
The position will require presence at client’s offices in Stavanger and reports to the VP D&W project.
In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing the drilling solutions based on best available technology, efficient operations and quality through lifetime of the wells. You will be part of the well delivery from early planning, via operation to production start.

Typical work tasks can be:

• Optimize Well design.
• Seek and implement lessons from suppliers, other operators and within client
• Ensure continuous improvement during planning and operations.
• Challenge technical solutions and the “established truths”
• Delivering Drilling and Wells programs.
• Support ongoing operations, onshore and offshore.
• Participate in technology implementation.
