ON-CALL EDUCATION ASSISTANT

JOB SUMMARY:
- Education Assistants, to be employed on an on-call basis when the regular Education Assistants are absent, while school is in session, effective as soon as possible after the posting closes.
- Education Assistants work in a school setting under the direction of a certified teacher.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Grade 12, Education Assistant Certificate or Equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
Elementary experience working 1:1 with children, special education, experience with Readwell, Saxon Math (willing to be trained)
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with Readwell, Saxon Math programs.
- Implementation of a student’s individual education plan.
- Implementation of behavioral plan.
- Working with elementary students assisting with classroom activities.
- Working with teacher to create a warm, creative, and educational enviroment for children to learn
- Working 1:1, small and large groups, playground supervision and other duties as required.
