Description:

On-call Substitute at ISP On-call Substitute Teachers have a profound impact on the lives of our students. When a teacher has a planned or unplanned absence, we rely on a skilled substitute to fill in. In this role, the substitute will adhere to the day’s lesson plan and ensure that students have a fulfilling learning experience. Reports to: Division Principal and Administrative Assistant of the Division.
Collaborates closely with: Academic department of the division. Responsibilities: General tasks that including but are not limited to: Adhere to the curriculum and lesson plans assigned by the regular teacher for whom you are substituting. Comply with all school regulations and policies at all times. Take attendance and document daily notes.
Compile a report for the teacher for when they return. Meets classes in the locations and at the times designated. Establishes order in the classroom and maintains an environment conducive to effective learning. Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, materials, equipment and facilities.
Efficiently manages the classroom, the instructional materials and equipment therein. What you will do: Day-to-day tasks Reports to the principal or other designee at the beginning and end of the school day. Maintains standards of students’ behaviors in school abiding by the behavior code of conduct. Helps maintain general order in the hallways and school grounds, supervise the area as scheduled in the duty schedule or the classroom during rainy days; escorts students to or from special classes.
Releases the students at the end of the day and during recess at the assigned time. Arrives in the assigned division/area by 7:15 a.m. daily and does not leave before 3:15pm. Maintains accurate records of students.
Keeps daily attendance and records tardy arrivals. Shows professionalism in your interactions with students, colleagues and parents; in the way you dress, portray yourself and behave during school hours.
