Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for an Oncology Clinical Support Worker to join the Cancer Service team at Hinchingbrooke. You will be working alongside the Haematology/Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialists, supporting patients in the outpatients department and beyond.
Ideally you will have an NVQ level 2 and 3 in health care, with an interest in Haematology/Oncology and good communication skills. The successful candidate will provide support to the patients with haematology/oncology conditions, as well as assisting the specialist nurses day to day.
To assist colleagues with blood requests
Phlebotomy and venepuncture
To assist with bone marrow procedures
Booking chemotherapy and other treatments
Support with nurse led clinics
Liaising directly with patients and all members of the multi-disciplinary team
To assist with data collection for departmental audits
