Description:
SUMMARY:
Responsible for management and oversight of all provider network compliance functions to ensure that non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) service providers meet contract requirements regarding driver, vehicle, and business operational standards. Ensure all incidents/accidents are reported accurately and timely to the clients that occurred while operating under the Verida agreement.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Minimum of five years of customer service experience
- Minimum of 3 years of Risk and Compliance experience
- Five years in NET, EMS and/or Public Transit, or Fleet Management experience preferred
- Minimum of two years in a supervisor/management position
- Ability to lift over 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, stoop, push, pull and step in/out of vehicles
- Ability to stand or sit for long period of time
- Ability to see and operate in all conditions (day, night, adverse weather conditions)
- Ability to be flexible with their schedule (could require weekends, evenings, and holidays)
- Ability to work independently or with a team
- Professional appearance

* MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION:*
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business from an accredited College or University and/or commensurate experience in the area of quality or compliance is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Generates and maintains executed contractual agreements for provider network
- Build and maintain positive relationships with the client, providers, and other staff managers
- Manage all aspects of the compliance operation including record maintenance, vehicle inspections, field observations, and database management.
- Development and coordination of vehicle inspection activities and other Compliance staff functions to ensure timely inspections by contract requirements.
- Develop, and implement compliance audit models, methodologies and policies and procedures to assess, monitor, and report NEMT network compliance.
- Identify, analyze, and report areas of non-compliance to the organization; produce reports that outline findings, explain risk positions, and recommend changes.
- Responsible for coordinating and reporting accidents and incident investigations and resolutions.
- Respond to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, and procedures by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures.
- Monitors and as necessary coordinates compliance activities of other departments to remain abreast of the status of all compliance activities and to identify trends.
- Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability; develops/implements correction action plans for resolution of problematic issues and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.
- Investigate and analyze root causes, patterns or trends that could result in liquidated damages; help to identify and implement corrective action where appropriate.
- Provides reports regularly, as directed, requested, or required to keep senior management informed of the progress of compliance efforts.
- Serves as the organization’s liaison with clients on matters related to network compliance
- Verifies and maintains current and valid documentation to assure that NEMT Providers are compliant with all contract requirements, including, but not limited to:
- NEMT Education
- Ensure all required training programs are developed and implemented per the contractual agreements
- Ensures that all current and valid data is uploaded into Verida database in a timely and efficient manner
- Communicates information to key staff and departments
- Establishes and maintains regular contact with all contracted NEMT providers to ensure compliance with all contract requirements.
- Conduct annual, bi-annual, monthly, and spot inspections on authorized NEMT vehicles to ensure compliance to the executed provider agreement
- Investigation of various activities for fraud and abuse as well as quality assurance
- Ensure that information is documented and submitted in a timely manner.
- Ensures all photos/videos must be downloaded to Verida server within one business day.
- Ensures all providers are performing to the guidelines of Verida, Inc. standards
- Ensures all authorized NET Drivers/Attendants are performing according to Verida, Inc. standards
- Ensures all Compliance Operation Specialists (Coordinators, Trainers, etc) are performing according to Verida, Inc. standards
- Ensures all Compliance Field Officers are performing according to Verida, Inc. standards
- Perform onboarding and training of new employees
- Perform annual reviews for employee performance and progressive disciplinary actions as needed
- Responsible for managing safety and security programs
- Accountable for the preparation and submission of reports to satisfy internal and regulatory requirements
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Assists with reconciliation issues
- All other duties as assigned
