Description:

REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of Dell Desktop, Laptops Preferably to Dell Certified Systems Engineer level, HP and Lenovo knowledge an advantage.
  • Desktop applications knowledge (MS Office 365, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, etc.)
  • Knowledge of mobile devices including smartphones and tablets
  • Engineering skills related to Printers, MFD’s & peripherals
  • Network patching and connection issue diagnosis
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 and Mac OS
  • MS Windows Image installation procedures
  • Data backup and restore capability
  • Applicant must have a full valid drivers license.
  • Ability to resolve hardware issues and basic software problems
  • Capable of building (o/s and required software) and deploying PCs (desktop and Laptop)
  • Excellent end user training and communication skills
  • Ability to work as smart hands onsite for remote support teams
  • Ability to explain IT solutions coherently to non-technical staff
  • Liaise with Service Desks and other supports teams in different countries
  • Fluency in English

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • MCSE certification
  • Manufacturer Enterprise server certification
  • SAN Server
  • A+
  • Network+/CCNA
  • Dell / Other vendor Certification to Enterprise level or above
  • Experience in a data centre and in smart space technology is advantageous.

Responsibilities:

  • To respond to all allocated calls on both the hardware and software supported, and to resolve the problems within the agreed SLA parameters. Calls will be allocated via ServiceNow
  • To carry out installations of new equipment to agreed configurations, ensuring that equipment is fully operational including assisting end users with restoration of data and applications.
  • To carry out equipment upgrades and moves as required, including upgrades or re-configurations of software including assisting end users with restoration of data and applications.
  • To support office moves and changes including the movement of IT equipment, phones and network patching as required.
  • To conduct Asset Audits as requested and inform Asset control of any changes
  • To check completeness & clean returned IT equipment and make ready for re-use
  • To work as smart hands for remote support teams.
  • To Support Asset Management teams to ensure completeness of asset tracking.
