The opportunity
An exciting opportunity for a Level 2 Technical support person to join QBE Perth as an Onsite Support Engineer.
Working as part of a National Team, you will provide on-site IT support by troubleshooting hardware and software issues for assigned site(s) as well as people working remote from a QBE office ensuring a quality end user experience.
Your new role

Some of your duties will include:

  • Responding to incidents and requests, providing timely resolution, and delivery of service
  • Incidents and requests could include anything from software issues to meeting room set-up for CEO
  • Performing hardware and/or software installations and updates to desktop and/or laptop computers
  • Providing IT support for projects involving technical rollouts, office moves, upgrades etc
  • Facilitating accurate record keeping by documenting support issues and/or resolutions
  • Communicating customer feedback to managers and IT team members
  • Providing a VIP Onsite Support service, ensuring enhanced support for the QBE Executive Community
  • Liaising regularly with Executive Assistants, building solid working relationships

About you

The successful candidate will have prior experience in a technical support role. You will work well autonomously with excellent communication and relationship building skills.

  • Hold a technology qualification and/or experience in a technology environment troubleshooting issues
  • Be familiar with Dell and Surface Pro hardware, iPhones, iPads and Android phones, Microsoft O365 Suite
  • Be confident troubleshooting and resolving tech issues across many different technologies
  • Be a team player with excellent rapport building skills – solid working relationships are a key driver of success in this role
  • As the sole Onsite Support Engineer on the West Coast the ideal candidate will be driven and able to self-manage
