Responsibilities:
ROLE SUMMARY
The role of the Operational Analyst is to assist with data collection and organisational duties that enable the smooth production of demand forecasts and capacity plans.
You will be responsible for maintaining and collating the various sources of data that are required to keep the capacity plans accurate. You will also be responsible for collating and managing the activity logs of the team and help with general organisational duties. A key output will be the production of predicted performance packs which will be discussed and agreed with the Capacity Planning Manager prior to issue to Operations.
Working with your colleagues across Resource Optimisation and the wider business including Clients you will assist with implementing and managing effective controls within the Capacity Planning arena to identify areas and opportunities to reduce waste and maximise productivity/revenue whilst minimising costs.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to the forecasting process alongside the Senior Analysts and Capacity Planning Manager
- Liaise with operational stakeholders at all levels to capture and assess the validity of data.
- Help with the analysing of past performance and trends including monitoring of shrinkage factors – annual leave, training, meetings etc and use this to support the weekly forecasting process at all levels
- Maintain the data sources that contribute to the accurate production of the team’s data outputs. Including capturing, data logs, task lists and minutes.
- Help organise the team’s data and file structures as well as run the teams regular reporting and check for errors.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE
- Good attention to detail
- A clear communication style, both verbal and written.
- Ability to identify improvement opportunities
- Ability to think logically and construct sound, persuasive arguments
- Ability to maintain and develop strong, trust based working relationships
- A good level of competence in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
- Maintain an enthusiastic attitude and a desire to learn
