ABOUT THE OPERATIONAL RISK HEAD ROLE:

This role requires a highly skilled and experienced Operational Risk Head to play a significant role in managing major elements of their operational risk framework. This includes enterprise-wide risk, technology risk, vendor and outsourcing risk, fraud risk, operational risk, business continuity risk, and other business risks. The successful candidate will be a highly visible officer within the organisation, collaborating with different teams and providing proactive and balanced leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide timely advice and recommendations on all operational risk matters
• Review and sign-off all non-financial risk agenda that are submitted for approval
• Prepare risk memoranda for all matters related to non-financial risks for submission to senior management
• Manage the timely delivery of reporting requirements as per operational risk policy and regulatory regulations
• Review contracts, new vendors, new products, and new projects and provide risk and control assessment and advice to stakeholders
• Evaluate partners, vendors and recommend approval to senior management
• Inspire and provide mentorship, training, and proactive leadership to the IT Risk Security Officer and the Operational Risk Control Officers
• Update, maintain, and calibrate the bank’s operational risk appetite, limits, and tolerances
• Maintain and update the Vendor and Outsourcing Policy
• Deliver strong leadership in the Vendor accreditation and evaluation process
