WHAT EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

  • Thorough knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety best practices.
  • Familiarity with Human Resource organisational policies and practices.
  • Strong business acumen and comprehension.
  • Proficient in relationship management, influencing, and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on service delivery.
  • Understanding of adult learning principles and experience in developing and delivering Workplace Health and Safety training.Minimum of two years’ experience in Workplace Health and Safety, combined with a relevant tertiary qualification.

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The primary objective of this role is to coordinate and execute actions that promote a safety-first culture within Motor Claims and Assessing Operations. This involves implementing robust frameworks, processes, and systems aligned with Workplace Health and Safety best practices. The role requires continuous assessment of risks and issues, ensuring protocols and measures are current and regularly tested.

THE ROLE

  • Collaborate with the Senior Safety Advisor and line management to devise and implement targeted safety solutions.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing coordination of safety initiatives, focusing on areas such as accident and injury investigations, preventative measures, and site audits while adhering to local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Assist line management in comprehending and applying Workplace Health and Safety policies, programmes, and practices.
  • Develop and maintain safety reporting mechanisms, analysing trends and addressing issues promptly to meet business requirements.
  • Research best practices in Workplace Health & Safety, providing recommendations to resolve business challenges.Identify, develop, and implement new Workplace Health & Safety policies, practices, and programmes to fulfil organisational and line management needs.
