Description:

A unique and exciting opportunity exists for an Operational Support Officer - Patient Transport, to provide a safe, patient-focused transport service for those patients requiring assistance with transport to treatment or attendance at an appointment within SCHHS facilities. This position operates with a high degree of independence in performing the duties of the position. SCHHS will provide a vehicle to support patient transportation undertaken by this role.
The Operational Support Officer - Patient Transport, reports to the Administration Coordinator, Command Centre, Emergency Access Flow and Support directorate.
Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south to Gympie in the north.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate with customers and demonstrate understanding, empathy, patience and a positive service focus.
  • Perform driving duties as required including but not limited to transporting patients, staff, and equipment between facilities.
  • Use mobile devices as required to assist in efficient and responsive patient transport.
  • Liaise with Command Centre staff in order to efficiently and effectively schedule transport resources.
    Salary rates: $30.33 - $32.36 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (OO2) (part time position available, 60 hrs p.f.)
