Description:

Join our Commodity Markets and Finance Support Team in Sydney as an Operations Analyst.
The team manages all post-execution trade lifecycle processes across global financial Metals, Agriculture, Commodity Investor Products, Oil, Power, Gas and Emissions markets while providing client service to both internal and external clients of the Commodities and Financing Markets Division.

What role you will play?
You will gain exposure to a wide variety of products traded by the Commodities Markets and Financing Division, primarily Swaps, Options, Futures and other Structured derivatives.

You will be responsible for:

  • Verification and settlement of transactions across all commodities
  • Generation of ISDA-based and bespoke confirmations
  • Client service, both internal and external
  • Review daily reconciliations to ensure Trade, Inventory, Cash and Nostro positions are accurate
  • Compile and submit monthly Regulatory Reports to internal stakeholders
  • Build relationships with various groups within the Bank, including Traders, Credit, Legal, Finance
  • Work with local and global operations teams to identify, coordinate and implement improvements in operational processes
  • Draft and review Standard Operating Procedures.

What you offer

  • 1-3+ years’ experience within commodity or financial markets
  • Exposure to ISDA documentation would be advantageous but not essential
  • Familiarity with SWIFT payment messaging types would be advantageous but not essential
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office365, Excel, Word and other relevant applications
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the aptitude to learn new systems quickly
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and high organisation skills

Salary range for this role- AUD 70,000-90,000 + super
